Rosa Parks was a civil activist born in Alabama in 1913. At the time, racial segregation was pretty normalized, therefore the afro-american community often were victims of discrimination. Being a part of this community, Rosa Parks didn’t find this very fair. This caused her to perform the act wich she is well known for; in 1955, riding a bus, Rosa refused to give in her seat to a white passenger, this spiked the Montgomery bus boycott which many black riders followed.
Parks also registered to vote, wich, in that time was almost impossible for black people and investigated cases of racial and sexual assault as far as she could being a NAACP secretary, this helped lay some groundwork for future civil right campaigns.
