Once I went on a trip to Morocco with my family and it was nice and fun.
One of the activities I did there was cooking a typical Moroccan dish.
My father was the one who organized it, so the only ones attending were him and me.
In the morning, we went to an old lady and her husband’s house, that’s where we were going to cook!
We introduced ourselves and started cooking the typical dish called Tajine.
The first thing we had to do was boil some meat along with other vegetables and spices like salt, pepper, ginger, cilantro.
While the meat was cooking, we put dried apricots and prunes in a pot at medium temperature heat with other spices and a bit of honey that later we added to the meat when it finished.
After we started doing some kind of pepper salad in which we mixed many kinds of pepper and a bit of olive, then we put it in the oven.
When the pepper salad came out of the oven the meal was finished and we started serving the food for all of us.
We tried the dish and it was incredibly good! I liked it a lot, but the pepper salad wasn’t very tasty for me because I hate pepper.
The old lady kept insisting that we ate more and more but we were so full of food!
After our meal they offered us some tea and we stayed a little bit more chatting, later we said our goodbyes and left.
It was a very good experience in which we learned a new recipe, tried something different, and had fun.
